Plot
After spending years in Belgium, a young Congolese man returns to his birthplace of Kinshasa to confront the intricacies of his family and culture.
Sinekatalog’s take
A return-home story told in a bold, stylised register, where identity and tradition collide in a vivid Kinshasa. It is more interested in image and atmosphere than in tidy plotting, which can frustrate and fascinate in equal measure. Adventurous arthouse viewers should take note.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
