Plot

Young Pietari lives with his reindeer-herding father in arctic Finland. On the eve of Christmas, a nearby excavation makes a frightening discovery and an evil Santa Claus is unleashed…

Sinekatalog’s take

A wry, frosty horror-fantasy that strips the cuddly out of the Santa myth and replaces it with something ancient and menacing. The snowy landscape, deadpan humour and child's-eye viewpoint make it inventive. A refreshing antidote to saccharine holiday films.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
