Plot

Prizewinning boxer Johnny Monterez is mad at the world, feeling persecuted because of his Mexican heritage. Worse yet, his right hand is damaged from years of fighting.

Sinekatalog’s take

A talented boxer with a damaged hand sees prejudice everywhere he turns. John Sturges uses the ring as a platform for a social drama about bitterness and identity. Dated in places, but earnest, and a decent pick for boxing-movie fans.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
