Sinekatalog’s take
Max Ophüls's Hollywood swashbuckler follows the exiled Charles II, played and written by Douglas Fairbanks Jr., on the run in Holland. Brisk and charming, with Ophüls's moving camera lifting the formula, it is a lively, light romp.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
