Sinekatalog’s take

Victor Sjöström's silent drama, from Selma Lagerlöf, follows a poor girl whose pride and kindness are tested by a farmer's rejection. Warm and picturesque, with beautiful landscapes, it is a tender, stirring Swedish classic.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
