Sinekatalog’s take
Luchino Visconti's last film adapts D'Annunzio, with Giancarlo Giannini's aristocrat jealous of his wife's lover. Lush, controlled and cruel, with Laura Antonelli sensual, it is a rich, bitter swansong.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
