Sinekatalog’s take

A humane wartime drama about German prisoners in a Japanese camp and the friendly bonds they form with locals. It favors compassion over combat, and its sentiment is sincere if somewhat gentle. A good fit for history-minded, feel-good viewing.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
