Sinekatalog’s take

Bertrand Tavernier's period drama follows a young noblewoman torn between duty and desire in the French wars of religion. Handsome and intelligent, with Mélanie Thierry and Lambert Wilson, it is a gripping, sensual costume tragedy.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
