Plot
The story of trench life during World War I through the lives of a French regiment. As men are killed and replaced jaunty Lt. Denet becomes more and more somber.
Sinekatalog’s take
A French regiment endures trench life as men are killed and replaced, and a once-jaunty officer grows grim. Hawks stages war as a cycle of fatalism and camaraderie. A solid classic for those who like terse, masculine war dramas.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
