Sinekatalog’s take
A Soviet unit holds the line on the Don River during the retreat of 1942. The film favors weary, human moments between soldiers over grand battle spectacle, with sober performances. A reflective war drama that appeals to those who like character over action.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
