Sinekatalog’s take
Anselmo Duarte follows poor peasants in a remote part of Brazil who fall under the sway of religious fanaticism with tragic results. Stark and grim, with a convincing sense of poverty and faith, it is a strong study of belief turning dangerous.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
