Plot

This Oscar-nominated animated short tells the story of a dapper young remittance man who is sent from England to Alberta to attempt ranching in 1909.

Sinekatalog’s take

An animated short with a painterly, storybook look, following a polished young Englishman out of his depth on the Canadian prairie. It is wry and gently melancholic, and its comedy of displacement lands neatly in a short span. A charming little discovery for animation lovers.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
