Plot

In a Sudanese village, a boy named Muzamil is predicted at his birth to die at twenty. His father leaves, and his mother Sakina keeps him in fear and prayer. As the date approaches, he meets an older man who has seen the world and learns about life and cinema. Amjad Abu Alala's 2019 film, the first Sudanese film to be submitted for the Oscars, won the Lion of the Future at Venice.
