Sinekatalog’s take

Volker Schlöndorff's debut adapts Musil's tale of schoolboys torturing a classmate at an Austrian boarding school. Cold, tense and perceptive about cruelty and complicity, it is a landmark of the New German Cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
