Sinekatalog’s take
Alexander Dovzhenko's silent film dramatises a 1918 workers' uprising at a Kyiv arsenal in poetic, impressionistic images. Fierce, strange and visually powerful, it is a landmark of Ukrainian and Soviet silent cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
