Plot

After marrying a successful Parisian writer known commonly as Willy, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette is transplanted from her childhood home in rural France to the intellectual and artistic splendor of Paris. Soon after, Willy convinces Colette to ghostwrite for him.

Sinekatalog’s take

A young provincial wife finds her voice when her celebrity husband takes credit for the novels she ghostwrites. The period drama looks sumptuous and has a good feel for creative ownership and independence. Admirers of literary biographies with feminist weight will enjoy it.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
