Plot
A folklore professor becomes unwittingly possessed by the ancient Japanese demons of Thunder and Lightning. But when The Bureau of Paranormal Research & Defense dispatches a team of agents to investigate, a cursed samurai sword sends Hellboy to a supernatural dimension of ghosts, monsters, and feudal mayhem.
Sinekatalog’s take
A tidy animated adventure that sends the demon investigator into a Japanese folklore underworld full of spirits and swordplay. The character designs are bold and the mythology gives it fresh texture, though it plays more like a long episode than an event. Comfortable fun for fans of the comics.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
