Sinekatalog’s take

Josef von Sternberg's romance puts Marlene Dietrich's cabaret singer between Gary Cooper's legionnaire and a wealthy admirer. Atmospheric and glamorous, with its famous tuxedo scene, it is a showpiece of lighting and star power.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
