An adaptation of Arnold Schoenberg's opera.

Sinekatalog’s take

Straub and Huillet film Schoenberg's unfinished opera in a Roman amphitheatre, with the singers recorded live in the open air. Austere and demanding, it turns a debate about image and word into a stark, striking experience.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
