Jean-Marie StraubCast
Adriano Aprà Anne Brumagne
Plot
A play by Corneille recited in the ruins of Rome.
Sinekatalog’s take
Straub and Huillet stage Corneille's tragedy outdoors among the ruins of Rome, with the cast reciting in flat voices as traffic roars by. It is deliberately difficult, and it makes old verse feel startlingly modern.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
