Sinekatalog’s take
Zhang Yimou's debut is a lush, earthy epic of a young woman running a winery, shot in blazing red. Gong Li is radiant, and the film's raw energy and visual power announced a major new filmmaker.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
