Sinekatalog’s take
Luchino Visconti's operatic period drama sets a countess's affair with an Austrian officer against Italy's struggle for independence. Lavishly staged with rich colour, it is a gorgeous, bitter romance.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
