Lincoln Rhyme was the department's top homicide detective and leading expert in criminal forensics until an injury left him paralyzed, depressed, and incapable of working. But when a gruesome murder in Manhattan leaves detectives baffled, they call on Rhyme to help solve the mystery.

Sinekatalog’s take

A bedridden forensic genius guides a young patrol officer through grisly clues left by a killer. The confined detective premise is intriguing, but the plot slides into thriller cliche. Moody and watchable, with more atmosphere than surprise.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
