Plot
A film about the Ukrainian Civil War commander.
Sinekatalog’s take
Alexander Dovzhenko's epic celebrates the Ukrainian Civil War commander Shchors, made at Stalin's request as a Soviet answer to Chapaev. Visually striking but burdened by propaganda, it is a handsome if heavy work.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
