Plot
In La Paz -as opposed to many other cities- the rich live below, which is the Southern District. Life goes on without major mishaps in a large house surrounded by a beautiful garden.
Sinekatalog’s take
In La Paz, the wealthy live in the lowest part of the city, and the film watches a family in a large house with a lovely garden as unspoken tensions rise. Elegant and quietly critical, it observes class and domestic life with a cool eye. A strong pick for slow, formal cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
