Plot

A woman who is unfairly institutionalized at a Paris asylum plots to escape with the help of one of its nurses. Based on the novel 'Le bal des folles' by Victoria Mas.

Sinekatalog’s take

A grim period drama about women confined by family and medicine, softened by a spiritual thread. It has a powerful, slightly theatrical look and a clear sympathy for its heroines. A solid pick for those drawn to feminist historical stories.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
